Minda Heyman, Director of Special Initiatives
Minda Heyman has served as Director of Special Initiatives at Baltimore Corps since 2022, where she supports the design of innovative projects and pilots. Joining the Partnerships team in 2018, Minda helped cultivate and build relationships with employer partners in the social impact sector to support Baltimore Corps’ Fellowships programming. With her leadership, the Partnerships team focuses on building relationships in nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and social enterprise companies to connect talented professionals to job opportunities that have a social impact.
Previously the Director of Career Services at Lewis & Clark College, Minda worked in higher education career services for 15 years and held positions at Goucher College and Johns Hopkins University. In her roles, she supported students with career planning and facilitated relationships with employers, faculty, and alumni.
A Baltimore native, Minda loves City life. Her purpose is to shine light, amplify, and magnify beauty, strength, vibrance, creativity, and talent everywhere. She is driven by her deep commitment to racial, economic, and climate justice and her belief in making a positive impact on our environment. Minda earned her MS in Higher Education & Student Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Minda loves the outdoors and exploring new places near and far. Having driven cross-country three times, she enjoys connecting with and learning about people and places through history, food, and culture. Raised in Maryland, Minda lived and worked in Portland, OR, and San Francisco, CA. When not working, Minda is working on a house project, cooking, or snuggling with her 75-pound furbaby.
