Candace Croston, Vehicles For Change

Candace's Fellowship:

As a Baltimore Corps Fellow at Vehicles For Change, Candace will be leading the coordination for the East Baltimore Transportation Pilot Program. In this capacity, she will work to increase residents' access to jobs, heath care, before/after school programs and educational opportunities. Candace intends to achieve this through cultivating relationships with foundations, corporations and nonprofit organizations to create new transportation opportunities.

Background:

From a very young age, Candace was taught the value of service and helping people, and those valuable lessons have always stuck with her. She has a deep passion for helping people reach their fullest potential. Although Candace is originally from Suffolk, Virginia, she has grown to love this city and all that it has to offer. She believes that it is her duty to sow into the city that has helped her to blossom into the woman that she is today. Candace is also currently the Director of an after school program through Fitness Fun and Games at Hampstead Hill Academy as well as the Activity Coordinator for children at Night of Peace Family Shelter.
